Our vision is to empower orphaned children to live a normal life and to pursue their aspirations and dreams for a better future. At taawon, we have always believed that the future of orphans in Gaza is our collective responsibility.

Over the last 15 years, Taawon has supported 4,261 orphans in Gaza. Taawon provides a holistic model for orphans, encompassing educational, financial, and health support to the child, based on their individual needs. This is done in collaboration with a network of civil society organizations who specialize in these areas.

Building on its commitment to help orphans in Gaza, Taawon proudly announces the launch of the Gaza’s Orphan Care Program . This initiative is committed to fostering the education of orphans, ensuring access to comprehensive health services – both physical and psychological. Additionally, the program encompasses various activities aimed at enhancing mental health and providing psychosocial support to both orphans and their caregivers. This support extends until the orphan reaches the age of 18, aiming to fulfill their fundamental needs comprehensively

This year's Ramadan in Gaza will be unlike any in the past, as the people of Gaza face relentless attacks with each passing minute, hour, and day. Many no longer have homes to return to, and for those who do, their meal tables, if set, will likely have many empty chairs.
Throughout the ongoing attack on the Gaza Strip, the number of orphans has significantly increased, with estimates indicating that around 20,000 children have become orphans as a result of the attack, losing either one or both parents.
Taawon launched the 'Gaza’s Orphan Care Program ' to support children orphaned by the 2023 attack. The program aims to provide a comprehensive set of services to orphans, empowering them to live with dignity, become active members in their communities, and build a brighter future for themselves. It targets orphans who have lost one or both parents, estimated to number around 20,000.
