Aimed at addressing the needs of communities and rural areas, PARC, in collaboration with Welfare Association (Taawon), announced the successful completion of the second phase of the "Olive Trees for Palestine" program.

This initiative was specifically designed to bolster the resilience of marginalized farmers, support their livelihoods, protect their lands, and enhance productivity. Funded by the Welfare Association (UK), the program has made a significant impact across 13 Palestinian towns and villages in five West Bank governorates: Nablus, Ramallah, Tulkarm, Jenin, and Hebron. Overall, 316 Palestinian farmers and families have directly benefited from the planting of approximately 12,000 local olive seedlings, across more than a thousand acres of land in threatened areas.

Mr. Monjed Abu Jaish, the General Manager of PARC, affirmed that this program aligns with the strategic plan of PARC within the land development program to increase agricultural land area, improve productivity, and enhance the resilience of farmers in their lands. He expressed gratitude to the Welfare Association for the ongoing partnership and continuous cooperation in such projects and campaigns for tree planting, especially amid the challenging economic conditions facing our people. He highlighted the significant trend of citizens and farmers returning to the land for cultivation.
